Liberty NEA (National Education Association) is Liberty's local educators' professional organization and is associated with Missouri NEA and NEA. NEA advocates for children and public education on the local, state, and national levels and provides such services as professional development for members. Among its other services for local students, Liberty NEA organizes Read Across America celebrations, maintains an emergency fund for student needs, and awards scholarships to graduating seniors planning to become teachers. Jim Stevick served as Liberty NEA president for many years and worked tirelessly to advocate for his students and colleagues.
